Author’s meeting at Middle School no 1 in Szczecin

I was supposed to make a grand entrance, but it all went pear-shaped… (I was meant to ride my motorbike straight onto the playing field where a special place had been set up for me and the kids with a PA system). But. Just as we were about to begin it started chucking it down so we all had to de-camp indoors to do the session. We talked about writing, reading, passions and whether it’s worth writing, whether it pays and what writing brings to other people’s lives. In short: we were not defeated by the rain! Middle school students are approaching young adulthood, so I was very pleased to hear this view as we finished, “That was a really interesting lecture, Miss.” PS When our session finished, I was invited to be on the jury for the school’s “Poland’s Got Talent” competition, which was something totally new for me 🙂
