On 24 April 2023, the Final of the Inter-School Reading Contest based on the first part of the Saltamontes Chronicles trilogy – Escape from Darkness – was held at the Jerzy Noskiewicz School in Tanowo, Poland, in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship.
This is the second time this contest has been held, and the organisers were the wonderful Ula Roszak and Dorota Błaszczyk, who organized the contest at the very highest level. The finalists representing several schools are true lovers of literature, pupils eager to “dig deep” into their favourite book and explore it in all its details. There was a lot of excitement and emotion.
A special thank you and a shout-out to all the children who took part in the Inter-School Reading Contest. The mere fact of taking part, your commitment, willingness, enthusiasm, the sparkle in your eyes – are worth their weight in gold to me. I would especially like to offer a big hug to the winners, who know the book brilliantly down to the tiniest detail. Here are the pupils who deserve the biggest congratulations and a round of applause!!!
