Yesterday I had my last author’s meeting for the year. After more than 3 hours on the road, I finally arrived at the Primary School in Tuplice, where the Saltamontes Chronicles Trilogy has a whole gang of fans! That’s not all it’s got when it comes to me though, because a long time ago, when I was a teenager, I spent my summer holidays in the area. In those days the Saltamontes Chronicles didn’t exist, and the children who were at the meeting hadn’t been born. So it was a very sentimental trip for me to the Primary School in Tuplice because, along with the stories from my books I could share some rather chilling tales of going back from the disco through the woods, or the fun we had jumping from a tree into the lake 😄
I’d like to say a big ‘Thank You’ to the headteacher, the teachers and pupils for the invitation, for the kind words, for the warmth and the lovely cake, for the smiles and the beautiful presents! You’ve all left your mark in my heart!
