I spent World Book Day exactly where the heart of a very special story has been beating for years – in the library of the Primary School in Tanowo. This place holds a unique meaning for me, because it is here that the written word truly meets living people.
Today’s meeting was extraordinary. The students of grades 7–8 interviewed me – their questions were thoughtful, perceptive, and full of that spark that only curiosity can bring. The room was filled with focus and genuine interest, and between the shelves, you could feel the quiet presence of words that never grow old.
My heartfelt thanks go to Ula Roszak and Dorota Błaszczyk, who once again prepared everything with such care, passion, and tenderness. Thank you not only for the wonderful organization, but for something far greater – for creating a space where children can experience the magic of literature, ask questions, and dream.
Today, I felt once again that books truly connect generations. That literature is not only paper and print, but also shared laughter, honesty, and emotion.
To every child who came, listened, and was truly present – thank you. It is because of moments like these that I am reminded why words never lose their power.
